Treatment of Class Ii Malocclusion with Klammt Appliance: Clinical Case Report

چکیده
Objective: to report a clinical case of young patient with Class II malocclusion, treated the Klammt Elastic Activator device, emphasizing benefits early treatment through Facial Jaw Orthopedics.
 Case Report: G.N.S., division 1, female, caucasian, Brazilian, 10 years and months old, good oral health, mixed breathing onychophagia, attended teaching clinic UNIFIP/ Brazil, for orthodontic due aesthetic dissatisfaction. After evaluation radiographic cephalometric examinations, II, 1 malocclusion retruded mandible was diagnosed. The functional orthopedic appliance prescribed, full use, period 12 bimonthly appointments. evolution satisfactory, mandibular advancement satisfactory change in patient's facial profile.
 Conclusion: it is concluded that open elastic activator minimized damage caused by class retrognathism, redirecting growth way, thus generating psychological favorable aesthetics profile proportionality.
